Cheeseburger Sliders

Cheeseburger Sliders

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb grass-finished ground beef or 1 Package of 3 patties
  • 1 package of 12-count Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 lb American cheese, or cheese of choice (optional)
  • Salt, pepper, smoked paprika, to taste
  • 1 or 2 Tbsps melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Trim a piece of parchment paper roughly 1” wider and longer than the height/width of your Hawaiian rolls. Place this on a rimmed backing sheet.
  2. Smash and mold your ground beef or patties into a rectangular shape that covers the parchment and is of even thickness. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and smoked paprika on top to taste.
  3. Bake your large beef patty for about 15-20 minutes, checking for doneness with a meat thermometer. The meat does shrink, which is why we want to make it larger than the rolls!
  4. While this bakes, use a large serrated knife to cut the rolls lengthwise, so the top is separate from the bottom.
  5. You’ll layer your cooked beef and cheese on the roll bottom, and place the top portion back on top the cheese.
  6.  Mix melted butter with the garlic powder, then use a pastry brush to cover the top of the slider with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. You’ll put the sliders on a clean baking sheet, cooking for about 5 minutes until the top is lightly browned and the cheese is melted.
  8. Pull out and place onto a cutting board before cutting into 12 separate sliders.
  9. Enjoy with ketchup!
